Coinciding with the Thanksgiving Holiday and the kickoff of the holiday shopping season, #GivingTuesday, a worldwide movement, aims to inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they support and help create a better world.

Through the fundraising site Razoo.com, The Intero Foundation was able to exceed their initial goal of $10,000 and even become the #1 nonprofit organization in California and the 9th nonprofit worldwide for the most dollars raised.

“Here at Intero our agents truly care about giving back to the communities where they live and work. It’s part of our culture and part of what they do every day,” says Tom Tognoli, President and CEO of Intero Real Estate Services. “The generosity of them along with their friends, families and clients is what makes days like #GivingTuesday so successful. No matter what day of the year, when asked, our agents will always help out.”

Funded, promoted and governed by Intero agents and employees, the Intero Foundation was formed as a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children in the communities local to where Intero conducts business. Over 10 years later the Foundation continues to empower a diversity of organizations that positively impact the education and personal development of children.

Cathy Jackson, President of the Intero Foundation adds “Intero Real Estate Services’ agents are truly dedicated to giving back to the children in their local community. No matter the time, no matter the effort, these agents care. I applaud them for going the extra mile on Tuesday. It will make a huge impact on the lives of so many local kids.”

Through Intero’s agents, employees and fundraising events, the Foundation has generated over $3 million with an endowment of more than $775,000 and has raised more than $400,000 in 2014.
